Hi! I'm named Toivo but you can call me Toe! I'm very smart - or so I'm told - more dog-like qualities. I like following my foster mom and dad around so I can assist them with their daily chores.   They need help with all these kitties and cats, you know.   I'm very curious and playful and like humans a lot better than cats.   Young children make me nervous - I guess cause they are active, too.

When I was with my first foster, I was constantly sprayed when I tried to make friends with the two older cats in the house. So, when the older cat(s) would swipe and growl at me, I'd also get sprayed by the human and thrown back into the cage or bathroom.   As a result, I never learned to socialize with other animals, and not only that, missed the stage on how to play like a kitten.   So my foster mom now has tried helping "relearn" these steps.   Slowly and surely I'm making awesome strides.   I've turned out to be very loving with my foster mom.   Bottom line, I'd do better by myself with adults - just need to find a home that would appreciate my smarts and personality.

I love being with my foster mom and playing with her or just being there with her.    I'm really a great cat - just need to find someone who could care about me as much as I would care and love that them!!

A note from Janet (foster mom): Toe is a very smart little feline with loads of love to give. He had a rough and unfair start for a little kitty - poster child for all the things not to do - but he's going to make someone a good cat.   Toe just needs a second chance to a loving environment.   He'll do the rest...
