Hi my name is Mateo and I was rescued from the shelter where I had ended up on the euthanasia list after my owner could not keep me.  I got adopted and lived with my new family for about 2 years and then they returned me because they were moving and I could not go.  Thankfully they returned me to Purr Paws and not a shelter.  It wasn’t long before a new family wanted to adopt me and I was so happy but sadly it didn’t work out because they were allergic to me.   So I’m back in foster care again.  I’m a really good boy and want to find my forever home.  The home I will live the rest of my life in.  I will be your most loyal pal forever.  I'm young (3 years old), healthy and very playful.  I have the softest meow you’ve ever heard. I like to sit with you from time to time and don’t mind being carried but it’s not my favorite way to get around.  I have lived with other cats and am okay with it once we get past the “get to know you stage”. Since I’m playful and forget I have big paws, small children may not be ideal.  I am very afraid of dogs.
