My name is Maya, and my owners left me in a carrier at PetSmart in the back of the store. I was there for several hours because people kept thinking it was just a carrier by the vet's office. Finally a young man who was an employee picked up the carrier, thinking it was out of place or belonged on the shelf, and boy, was he surprised! So he brought me to the Purr Paws Rescue person and she became my foster mom. I had a note on me saying "Hi. I'm Maya and belong indoors only. I am very sweet." Well, that was it. They didn't even tell them that I was already spayed! Fortunately for me, they checked that first! Anyways, I am a little skittish and am looking for a home with a few less kitties!! I really want to be friendly, just am going through self-esteem and abandonment issues right now (I'm in therapy). At least I didn't end up in a shelter so I count my blessings for that. Just hoping next time, the next person will keep me forever! Won't you be my forever hero?
